The new Carnival was a project of the Kia Design studios in California, which is also the birthplace of the award-winning Telluride and the new 2021 Sorento SUV. The Carnival replaces the outgoing Kia Sedona and, in the process, introduces innovations to the concept of a modern-day MPV. The new Kia Carnival takes the best of the minivan and combines it with the best features found in a typical SUV to make a new and versatile multi-purpose-vehicle. One look, and it will be clear that the Carnival could very well be your next family vehicle.

The Kia Carnival is a next-level Multi-Purpose-Vehicle. It came to be as a result of Kia designers not being content to congratulate themselves for doing a good job on the Kia Sedona. Instead, they pushed hard. Very hard, in fact. The result is a new MPV that can carry up to eight passengers. But it's not just about moving people. Loaded with innovations onboard, the Carnival makes living with such a vehicle easy. It's also the first Kia product to proudly sport the brand's new logo on its steering wheel, sculpted hood and rear hatch. Think about it: The new Kia Carnival breaks as much new ground as the new Kia K5 did for sports sedans.

A look around the Kia Carnival - Exterior

The new Kia Carnival combines the good looks of a Kia SUV with the benefits of a minivan at the rear. Featuring a new sense of confidence, as seen on the Kia Telluride. Its looks place it directly in line with the rest of the Kia portfolio's design language.

The Kia Carnival features a wide, aggressive stance, thanks to the look of the bold Kia Tiger Nose grille. Intensive high-tech LED lighting adds to the aggressive appearance. A new cutline runs the length of the vehicle and connects the front of the vehicle to the rear using bold panels to tie it together cohesively. Best of all, the Carnival displays an upscale premium look, thanks to 17- and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The new Kia Carnival interior resembles the inside of a very chic and sophisticated corporate jet. Innovative Slide-Flex seating for up to 8-passengers allows moveable layouts allowing versatility that places convenience first. A sliding middle-row seat moves forward and back so the front passenger can gain easy access to a person (or baby) sitting in the second row. Later, it can change into a functional table.

Available ventilated and heated VIP lounge chairs with leg extensions are an option that we absolutely want. It's the perfect way to give an executive feel to a modern family hauler. Remove the second-row seating and fold third-row seats forward to reveal up to 145-cubic feet of cargo area behind the front row. That way, should you need to, you can carry home a four-by-eight piece of plywood. Or several!

One of our favorite features on the Kia Carnival is the Kia Passenger-Talk intercom system. A great innovation, it allows you to converse with people in the second and third-rows through an intercom system. Just imagine how powerful "Don't make me stop this car" might sound through that system!

The Carnival offers standard hands-free automatic power sliding doors with Smart Key on every trim level. An available Smart Power Liftgate with auto-close can be ordered on EX and above trim models.
