The 2017 Sportage comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with a conventional 6-speed automatic. The top-trim SX version has a more powerful 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder. Inside, there are simple controls including a small touch screen for the infotainment system...

The 2016 Kia Optima is a beautiful sedan, inside and out, but it also boasts some really excellent safety features that should garner a little attention, too. We highlighted self-driving Kia cars earlier this month, but we won't see those on the roads of St Peters for a while--about 10-15 years.

Instead, there's something that might be a little be closer, and a little bit more attainable for those of us who are always looking for the next newest thing. Kia teased an image on Instagram of their newest compact model:

DriveWise, a recent sub-brand of Kia Motors Corp., is making quite a splash lately, and not just in St Peters, MO.

Claiming to be able to put fully autonomous cars on the road by 2030 (other automakers are predicting 2020, but we'll believe that when we see it), Kia will be investing upwards of $2 million into the DriveWise program just through 2018. The new technology will introduce key capabilities into new Kia models like emergency stopping, traffic jam assist and parking assists, and features like gesture control, fingerprint sensors and connectivity for smartphones and tablets.
